Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTN Ghana, Mr. Selorm Adadevoh has charged Ghanaians to put hands on desk to collectively combat customer's vastly confronted challenge on fraud.
According to him, forgoing the conscious effort of the Ghanaian citizenry in joining hands to fight fraudsters exploiting customers at the pretense of MTN staffs, the ever-rising canker will continually persist to appear as a hard nut for the telecommunication network to solely crack.
He uncovered that MTN on the highlighted issue has over the years spent hugely in eradicating the encountered challenge but all to no avail.
The CEO declared this at the MTN Media and Stakeholders Forum 2023 themed "Leveraging Technology To Serve Customers With Excellence."
A forum that saw media personnels from both the Western and Central Regions together with some MTN shareholders converge at the Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi for the maiden program within the calender year.
He noted to Sompa TV/FM's Eric Annan the need for customers to take keen interest in the MTN radio programmes which seeks to address vital issues on how customers can stand to defend themselves from the exploitation of fraudsters.
Mr. Adadevoh then urged customers who have had the telecommunication network's public sensitization on either sim registration or mobile money fraud gone down well with them to equally do the honest in educating other MTN users on the looming challenges.
He additionally called on the collective effort of other telecommunication networks, banks, government, and the media to also educate the public to serve as a mechanism in fighting against these fraudsters.
