Renowned DJ and award-winning radio personality, DJ Mickay, has taken to social media to express his concerns about the increasing number of profane songs being played on some radio stations in Cape Coast.
As a respected figure in the entertainment industry, DJ Mickay's post has sparked a lively debate about the role of radio stations in promoting decent content and responsible broadcasting practices.
His post cited on Facebook reads:
"Dear Radio Managers and Program Managers in Cape Coast and its Environs, I've come to realize something in some of the radio stations and their DJs."
"We understand not every DJ could work on the radio when you employ them or give them the opportunity to work with your institution."
"Kindly guide them on how they'll be playing the music; the playing of profane songs on the radios (some) are becoming unbearable.
My Humble Opinion," he wrote.
His call to action has been seen as a timely reminder to radio managers and program managers to take responsibility for the content they air and to ensure that it is suitable for all audiences.
