Assembly Members in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti region have called on President Nana Akuffo Addo to make a final decision on the suspended DCE, Hon. Yaw Danso as the district is retrogressing in development due to a delay in appointing a new DCE.
A press conference held by the Assembly Members after a meeting that was called on by the Presiding Member failed due to some misunderstandings regarding some issues of old and new government appointees in the district.
Hon. De Graft Maxwell Boakye, Assembly Member for the Morontuo electoral area who spoke on behalf of the Assembly Members said the development of the district has been hindered due to some decisions taken by the suspended DCE and Ashanti Regional Minister to revoke the appointment of government appointees in the assembly and replace them with his relatives without any tangible reason.
Hon. De Graft continued that, this whole mess created by the DCE has had a greater impact on the activities of the assembly and for peace to prevail, there is the need for President Nana Addo to make a final decision on him (DCE) since all matters relating to his wife's funeral is over. Stating clearly that, vehicles that are supposed to be parked is still been used by the DCE while his mother-in-law and other relatives live in the assembly's bungalow.
Some government appointees whose appointments have been revoked and are being replaced called on the Ashanti Regional Minister to explain the reasons behind their sack as the assembly is guided by laws and standing orders that only allow one's appointment to be revoked through wrongdoing, they have not done.
