The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah on 19 January 2023 paid a working visit to selected MMDAs within the region. These Assemblies were; Ahafo Ano South West, Ahafo Ano South East and Ahafo Ano North Municipal.
The visit, which is part of plan activities of the Regional Minister for the beginning of the new year is to allow him interact with the staff of the Assemblies as well as inspect some ongoing projects.
At Ahafo Ano South East, the Regional Minister after calling on the DCE, had an interaction with the staff of the Assembly. Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah then inspected some health projects. These are agenda 111 project at Adugyama and a hospital project at Sabronum. He also inspected a completed Business Resource Centre at Adugyama and a court project at Pokukrom.
The Ashanti Regional Minister then went to Ahafo Ano North Municipal, Tepa where he paid a courtesy call on Tepa manhene Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I.
The Regional Minister was accompanied by the Chief to inspect the Tepa jubilee market project which has stalled. The manhene requested the assistance of the Minister to help resolve the issues that has stalled the project.
Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah then had a meeting with the staff of the municipal assembly where he encouraged them to work together to bring development to the municipality. The Minister then inspected a couple of building projects after which the Regional Minister's team headed for Ahafo Ano South West.
At Ahafo Ano South West, the Regional Minister inspected an agenda 111 project at Kunso as well as a school project at Mankranso Senior High.
Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah expressed worry over the progress of work on the Agenda 111 projects inspected at Adugyama and Kunso compared to others within other parts of the Region. He expressed the view that the timelines might have to be extended however, was hopeful of smooth completion.
