The Chief Executive Officer for National Entrepreneurship and Innovative Program (NEIP) Mr. Kofi Nkansa Boadu has described the incumbent constituency chairman of the NPP in the Asante Akim Central, Mr. Joseph Amoah as a fake chairman because he was elected with a fake album.

Rebutting on the comment by the chairman earlier on Sompa Tv on Monday, February 6th, 2023, that he is the brain behind the press conference held by a group within the constituency claiming anomalies in the album, the former managing director of Accra Digital Centre said he is an important stakeholder in the constituency and hopes to have a press conference to address issues regarding the constituency.

The outspoken CEO also alleged that there's a division in the constituency because the chairman together with the MP appointed the MP’s friend and made him head of the election committee.

“Some members feel there's a division in the constituency because leaders disregarded party regulations and rather chose MP’s friend and made him head of the constituency election committee and plotted with MP and added their friends, family, and concubines in that fake album instead of the long-serving delegates who have been there since 1996”.

He continued to say that it is a plot by the leadership against him because he has the backing of the delegates.

Joseph Amoah, NPP chairman for Asante Akim Central has told Omanhene Adu Boakye in an interview on Sompa Tv that the album impasse at the Asante Akim Central in the NPP is a result of ignorance on the part of some of the aspirants.

Sharing his view on the press conference addressed by a group led by one Gyekye Richardson on the premise that the album for the national primaries is full of family and friends' names instead of the delegates and will not accept any fake album, Mr. Amoah said, elections are a process and one must pass through the necessary steps before being recognized as a delegate.

“Elections are a process, you pass through the vetting, and when you qualified” you go for elections however some of them even don’t know the exact position they are aspiring for” some even say they aspiring for MCE” meanwhile it's pollen station elections. We gave reasons for their disqualification and submitted their forms to the national, national absolved and permitted us to continue our work but they don't seem to understand, I know someone is behind this he said.

According to Mr. Joseph Amoah, the chief executive officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovative Program (NEIP), Mr.Kofi Nkansah Ofuso Is the brain behind the press conference held by the group alleging anomalies in the constituency album.

He explained that Mr. Ofosu Nkansah contested and lost the constituency primaries in 2020 and has since been creating problems here and there within the constituency.
