The Ashanti Regional Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the embattled Suame Youth Organizer, Razak Koampa Avoliya has not run away and is ready to bring him to the police per police request.
Razak Koampa Avoliya, popularly known as Mosquito is being hunted by the police for inciting the party’s supporters to attack New Patriotic Party members; he made the said comments in during the constituency gathering at Suame.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is, however, seeking forgiveness for the Suame Constituency Youth Organizer but in a conversation with the Ashanti Regional NDC Organizer, on Sompa Tv/Fm, Alhassan Isham said, even though the said comment tends to disrupt the peace the country is enjoying and condemned the comment, he could not fathom why the police will go on social media and mass media to hunt for the youth organizer.
Earlier
National Youth Organiser of the NDC, George Opare Addo told Adom FM that the party condemns the unacceptable comments by its constituency organizer.
“We don’t support him because nobody believes politics is war. Some of the words he used are unpalatable.
“I know Razak, he can’t even hurt a fly. He was just bragging and spoke on the spare of the moment so we should tamper justice with mercy,”
Avoliya is captured in a viral video in which he is heard urging supporters of the NDC in Suame to attack members of the NPP in the constituency in the run-up to the 2024 General Election in a bid to win victory.
“The Ashanti Regional Police Command has initiated steps to get this person arrested to face justice.
“We would like to take this opportunity to urge political actors to be circumspect in their utterances and actions as we work together to safeguard the peace and security of our beloved country,” the Ghana Police Service said in a statement on Monday, February 6.
Meanwhile, George Opare Addo entreated the police to provide justice for eight NDC members killed in the 2020 general election to avoid possible reprisals.
