Information gathered by Sompa TV/FM reporter Eric Annan depicts, a man believed to be in his late 30s has suffered severe wounds after he was caught stealing a mobile phone from a native doctor's residence at Gomoa Akwamu in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region.

The suspect is said to have stolen about ten (10) mobile phones and money belonging to some accident victims receiving treatment at the native doctor's house.

Some irate youths from the community recounted to Sompa News that the notorious thief has for months been on their wanted list having stolen their items for some time now.

The angry youths upon getting hold of him, brutally assaulted and tied the suspected thief to a pole to teach him a bitter lesson but for the timely intervention by the Agona Swedru District Police Command.

The suspect is currently on admission receiving treatment at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital.
