Member of Parliament for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem (KEEA) constituency in Central Region, Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills has said the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration led by His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has unfairly treated his area in the sharing of the national cake.
On the abandoned Komenda Sugar Factory, the opposition MP agitatedly shared his frustration, saying, he has on countless occasions visited the Trade Ministry to have the multi-million project fully completed and commissioned but to no avail.
He worryingly asserted to Sompa TV/FM Reporter Eric Annan, the neglected Komenda Sugar Factory when fully operationalized will direct and indirectly employ over 7,500 individuals within the District.
The younger brother to the late President John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills announced that the poor conditioning of the Sugar Factory has forced the youth staff to travel elsewhere in search of greener pastures, leaving behind the aged ones currently working as staff at the factory.
In addition, Hon. Atta-Mills noted that the Nana Addo-led government aside from overlooking the Sugar Factory, which was started by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to impair has equally shunned upgrading other fine projects like the Elmina Fish Processing Factory all within the KEEA constituency.
He, therefore, asked the NPP government to sit back for a more capable NDC government to take over the affairs of the country following its constant mismanagement.
