Afigya Kwabre South: Residents jubilate over the construction of a bridge on Owabe River.

Residents of afigya kwabre south in the Ashanti Region have lauded the government and the District Assembly for the construction of the kodie -Aduamoa bridge.

The bridge which collapsed on 5th May 2022 last year and was reported by Sompa News has been reconstructed by Knapo Construction Company limited.

The residents expressed profound gratitude to the Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly for the efforts made for the realization of the bridge.

The bridge will connect communities that have been neglected for almost a year which heightened the plight of commuters since the only access route to the Kwabre East Municipal was to cross the Owabe River.

Speaking in an interview with Sompa News Reporter Bawah Baidoo, the Inhabitants said the bridge will boost the economic activities in the area and also lessen the burden on the people traveling a long distance to market their farm produce.

They also expressed their profound gratitude to the District Chief Executive Mr. Christian Adu Poku for providing them with street lights along the road which will also boost the security in the area.
