The deputy public relations officer (PRO) for the ministry of education (MoE) Mr. Ernest Akosah has confirmed that 300,000 candidates out of the 500,000 candidate who are on automatic placement system have been successfully placed.
According to him, there are three processed in the placement system but the most easer one is the automatic one, which they have to place over 500,000 student automatically nationwide, and they have been able to place 300,000 student which is 69.29% remaining 160,000.
"The remaining 160,000 did not get school because they did not follow the selection criteria."
Speaking on Ghana Fapim show hosted Yaw Boamah on Sompa FM, he stressed that, "it’s never true that if you don’t get single number, you will not get your first choice school."
"From grade 6 to 36 you can get your first school choice depending on how you selected your schools."
Notwithstanding Mr Ernest Akosah revealed that, Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) together with the Director General of Education will have table discussion to tackle all issues relating to prospectus.
