A 71-year-old father, Efo Kwasi Joseph has chopped off the fingers of his 11-month-old son with a carpenter’s saw at Kasoa Millennium City in the Gomoa East District of Central Region for an alleged money ritual.

A report by Sompa News reporter Eric Annan indicates, the father usually threatens to use his son for money rituals, a mindset his wife usually condemns.

Sources reveal that there's a rift between the couples who got married less than a year before the unexpected incident.

Juliana Amenasor, mother to the child expressed shock upon witnessing her husband's weird mindset manifest into reality revealing that the husband secretly took the child to his workshop where the act took place.

The nursing mother narrating her ordeal disclosed that the child is currently in serious pain and can't stop crying let alone sleeping at night.

She says she's financially handicapped to afford the medications and surgery cost of the baby and asked for philanthropists to come to her aid.

She then appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to intervene and prosecute her yet-to-be-arrested husband to serve as a deterrent to fathers of his caliber.

The case is now been handled by the Kasoa Millenium City Police as investigation commences.
