Chief of Kwaprow, a suburb of the Cape Coast North constituency in the Central Region, Nana Kwesi Mensah lll has entreated Christians in the country to place utmost priority on inherited customs and traditions.
He said, the contemporary Christian, especially its youths having forgone their inherited customs and traditions ought to reverse the angle and celebrate every passed-on custom and tradition left behind by their forefathers.
Nana Kwesi Mensah made this statement after the Kwaprow community had duly performed all traditional rites for its Nkosonko River. An inherited tradition that sees the community fish plentifully from the river.
The chief in an interview with Sompa News reporter Eric Annan urged fellow Christians to discard their conceived mentality of serving gods whenever indulge in such activities.
According to him, he is a loyal member of the Church of Pentecost, yet never downplays customs and traditions which doesn't make him an idolater.
The community's Nkosonko tradition due to a longstanding rift saw it halted for almost 25 years now.
However, the affable chief called on the citizenry of Kwaprow, both far and near to come on board and celebrate the unique tradition as he intends to make it bigger in the coming years.
