The deputy Minister of Local government and rural development Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim has said the Ministry led by Hon. Dan Botwe wants to know the root cause of the fire outbreak at the new Kejetia market facility so that the right measures are put in pace to forestall any future occurrences.
According to the Minister, a lot more questions need to be answered by authorities of the Ghana National Fire Service, the Management of the Kejetia Market, the Contrata Management and the market users to make sure all the stakeholders would be contacted for fair hearings.
The minister made the disclosure during an interview with Nana Yaw Boama, host of GHANA FAPIM show on Sompa FM in Kumasi over the weekend after the Local Government Ministry visited the market to observe the extent of the destruction.
The minister has further denied reports that the stalled work on the Kejetia Redevelopment Phase two project was not due to financial constraints as being made to be believed by the Resident Consultant Mr. Emmanuel Danso.
