Abraham Smiles Foundation, a non-governmental organization has under its Cape Coast Job Centre initiative offered free job training to over 300 young women in Kwaprow in the Cape Coast North constituency of the Central Region.
The awe-inspiring job training sort to reduce the alarming rate of unemployment among the citizenry within the Cape Coast North constituency.
Trainees were taken through the making of shower gel, liquid soap, and para zone among others.
The training program organized for young ladies within the Kwaprow community ended up training several women who also seized the opportunity to equip themselves.
Speaking to Sompa TV/FM reporter Eric Annan at the event grounds, Mr. Ibrahim Muntari, initiator of the training program disclosed that respective trainees will subsequently be given start-up capital to help them put their impacted knowledge to work.
The budding politician who doubles as an aspirant in the NDC Cape Coast North parliamentary primaries assured that the initiative isn't ending anytime soon but is set to touch the lives of thousands of unemployed youths within the Metropolis.
Some of the trainees who spoke to Sompa News expressed their gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Muntari for his humanitarian gesture.
Perpetual Annan, Chairperson for the Kwaprow NDC Women's Wing who lobbied for the job training for the trainees revealed that women who hawk through UCC face a lot of challenges at the hands of the University authorities including getting pregnant at a tender age, hence the need for the program to aid better their livelihood.
