Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Stephen Jalulah has divulged that the promised Suame interchange will be completed before the 2024 polls.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, 18th October 2022, cut the sod for the commencement of construction of a 4-tier interchange at Suame, in fulfilment of a pledge he made during his tour of the Ashanti Region years back.
Speaking on the issue in an interview with the media in Kumasi, the Deputy Minister revealed that Funds for the construction of the Suame Interchange project are available and will surely be completed before 2024.
According to him, the Suame interchange project was supposed to have started in the last quarter of the last year.
“I am giving the assurance that the money is available and will complete the Suame interchange before 2024,
I can assure the good people of Ashanti.
“There is no way the President will come and deceive the good people of Ashanti,” he added.
He disclosed again that the Ashanti region has benefited so much from Roads than any other region under President Akuffo Addo’s government.
