A one day training workshop on resilience has been organized for prison officers within the Greater Accra regional Command.
The workshop which was organized by the spearhead consent was to empower officers to perform at the optimum level of their duties.
The Resource person for the training, Mr. Patrick Otieku-Boadu stated that, the Resilience Advantage has gained a lot of popularity in the United states among the Fire brigade, the Marines and Police Service.
Based on a research of almost 40 years, some tools were discovered to help officers remain calm under all sorts of stressful circumstances.
The training workshop took place at the Prisons Interdenominational Church, Prisons Headquaters in Accra and was attended by the Director of Prisons in charge of Human Resource, Mr. Benedict Bob-Dery, the Chief Human Resource Officer, DDP. Nathaniel Onyinah, Superintendent(Supt) Sharon Ampomah.
The rest were Senior and Junior officers from the Prisons Headquaters, Senior Correctional Center, Prisons Officers Training School and James Camp Prison.
