The British Council through it's collaborating partners launched an initiative to develop skilled and competent human resources, dubbed the VET Toolbox , the project will enhance decent work and inclusive growth.
The project is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). "Vocational Education and Training (VET) Toolbox" is an international facility aimed to improve effectiveness of systems, turning investments into drivers for inclusive economic growth and decent job creation.
The Director General for Ghana TVET Service, Mawusi Nudekor Awity lauded the British Council and collaborating partners for the Project, and that it will strengthen the capacity of Technical and Vocational Institutions.
According to the country Director of British Council Ghana, Nii Doodo Dodoo, the VET Toolbox is a 2 year project that will help tackle the unemployment situation in Ghana.
According to the program officer, Macro-economic and trade section of the European union in Ghana, Marta Brinone, out of the 11 sub - Saharan countries benefiting from the project is Ghana.
The Director General was accompanied by Mr. David Prah, Deputy Director General, Technical and Operations.
