A one day seminar on cyber security has been held at the Prisons Interdenominational Church,Accra for officers from the Prison Officers Training School, Senior Correctional Centre, James Camp Prison and the Prisons Headquarters on Friday, 24th March,2023.

The seminar was put together by Child Online Africa, a child research and advocacy based non- governmental organization (NGO).

The seminar among other benefits enlightened officers on child safety on the internet, social media integrity test, cyber bullying and other safety tips.
The Executive Director of Child Online Africa explained to officers to need to periodically check their personal information online and delete or safeguard them to prevent them from getting into the hands of people with malicious intent.

Present at the seminar were the Director of Prisons in charge of Operations, Mr Samuel K. Owusu Amponsah, the chief Operations officer, DDP. Francis Selorm Hagbe and the officer in charge of the Gender Unit, ADP. Augustina Mensah - Fiadzo (Mrs.)
The rest were the officer in charge of the ICT Unit, CSP. Charles C.Clegg and an educational consultant from Cubertraps.com, Dr. Frederick Lane.
