The Judicial Service of Ghana has praised the Director-General of Legal and Prosecution of the Ghana Police Service, Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye for his dedicated and impactful service to the service through his work as a member of Judicial Council.
The Judicial Service thanked him for bringing his many years of experience in matters of security, and unique insight to bare for the benefit of the service.
In a citation presented to him( COP Kofi Boakye) by the Chief Justice of Ghana, Justice Anin Yeboah, the Judicial Service noted that his opinions have helped shape important groundbreaking policies for the betterment of the Judiciary, the Judicial Service and the administration of justice as a whole.
“Your tenure has been marked with several significant contributions that will be long felt. You served on the security Sub-Committee of the Judicial Council Committee on the restructuring of the role of Registrars and the Rules of Court Committee.
You were instrumental in the formulation of a detailed Study Leave Policy for Career Magistrates; Post Appointment audits on Career Magistrates and the recruitment of the sead of security of the service.
Your very lucid opinions expressed with candour helped shape important groundbreaking policies for the judiciary, the Judicial Service and the administration of justice as a whole.
Your dedicated and impactful service will always be etched in the annals of the Judicial Service of Ghana,” the citation read in part.
COP Kofi Boakye has served as a police officer for many years and has often received plaudits for his exceptional service and exploits in policing.
