The family of gruesomely murdered Georgina Asor Botchwey has furiously expressed their displeasure over a repeatedly showcased gesture by DSP Daniel Gadzo, prosecutor to their on-trial case whenever they appear before the court.
According to the family, the prosecutor has for some time now resorted to laughing whenever he's addressing the Cape Coast District Court '2' as to where police findings have gotten to.
A gesture the family finds awkward in a disheartening case like theirs.
Papa Annan Swanzy, Uncle to the deceased told Sompa News reporter Eric Annan the family has though been patient enough over the prosecutor's dalliance to their case but never finds his behavior of always laughing over their issue in court lightly.
He argued the prosecutor wouldn't behave the way he does if the deceased were to be his daughter.
He has pleaded with the prosecutor to do away with the laughs and get serious with their case whenever he appears before the court.
It will be recalled that Christopher Ekow Clark Quansah, chief of Ekumfi Akwaakrom together with a self-styled pastor, Micheal Darko on 9th September 2022 killed a 22year aspired to be nurse at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality in the Central Region for alleged money ritual.
The murder case which first saw a court hearing on October 18, 2022, is yet to cross its investigative stage as the court presently seeks Attorney General's advice.
A heddle DSP Daniel Gadzo awaits for the continuation of the six-month-old trial.
The family, however, employs the Attorney General's department to step up and advise the court to fast-track their trial.
Meanwhile, the case after its recent hearing on Tuesday, March 30 has been adjourned to 18th April 2023.
