Bliss GVS Pharmacy Limited has donated assorted anti malaria drugs to the Bono regional hospital in Sunyani to help fight against malaria.

The pharmacy, presenting the drugs to the authorities of the hospital on Monday April 11 said, "The move is to join the the initiative of eradicating the entire African continent of malaria dubbed, "Act for Africa- Malaria free continent"
The anti- malarial medicines donated include; Allaxin suspension, Lonart Dispensable, Gsunate suppositories, Gsunate injection, P. Allaxin tablet and Clamoxin 1.2g Inj.
The medicines donated by the largest producers of effective anti malaria medicines is worth over Ghc100,000.
The Bono and Ahafo regional medical representative of Bliss GVS Pharmacy Limited, Mr Ankoma Sherrif in an interview with Sompa FM in Sunyani explained that, malaria cases are very high in the Bono regions and there was the need for the company to assist in reducing the burden.
He said, due to the efficacious nature of the drugs the facility would get the best results in using them to treat patients who have malaria.
"Undoubtedly, the BA regional hospital is the biggest health facility that people troop in daily for healthcare that is why we decided to donate to them and assist the numerous patients who would not be in the best position to purchase these drugs outside the facility", he stressed.
Head of administration for the B/A Regional hospital, Mr. Samuel Dodzi who received the drugs on behalf of the hospital expressed appreciation to the Pharmaceutical company for their support.
He indicated, the medicines would help the facility in diverse ways saying, "about fifty percent (50%) of the patients who report to the facility have malaria cases."
