Asafo A.E.D.A 'B' Basic School in the Agona East District in the Central Region has for the first time received renovation works since 1986.
Classroom blocks of the over 37year-old school had been a deathtrap upon the timely intervention of My Help-Your Help Foundation, a non-governmental organization who came to the rescue with an ultramodern edifice to the school together with the connection of a portable drinking water.
Mr. Justice Kwesi Ninson, Headmaster to the school expressed his profound appreciation to My Help-Your Help Foundation over the marvelous work done on the school's Primary and K.G blocks.
The Headmaster further extended gratitude to one Mr. Isaac Kojo Nti who he recalled to have be of enormous help to the school having hail from the community.
He revealed the school's inadequacy of teaching and learning materials like desks, porous staff common room and dilapidated JHS block to be affecting the academic performance of its pupils, hence called on other stakeholders to come to the aid of the school.
Founder and President of My Help-Your Help Foundation, Mr. Nicholas Coffie in an interview told Sompa TV/FM News reporter Eric Annan, the foundation's extended kindness falls part of its cooperate social intervention.
He noted to have his foundation invest more support projects across the country, particularly to needy communities.
Mr. Coffie advised the school to observe maintenance culture to keep the facility last long for future use.
