Zoomlion Ghana Limited joined the Ghana Prisons Service for its 2-day Prisons Regional Commanders’ Conference held in Accra.
The 2-day conference, April 13th - 14th is under the theme: “Pursuing Sustainable Strategies to Confront Emerging Challenges in the Ghana Prisons Service: The Role of Prisons Managers and is been held at the Senior Officers Mess, Prisons Headquarters, Accra.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, Alhaji Abdullai Abdallah, Assistant Manager-Operations indicated that, ZL is proud to associate itself with the Ghana Prisons Service effort in keeping Ghana Clean, which involves brushing sand along principal streets, weeding along road medians, and collecting waste by inmates supervised daily by prison officers.
Therefore he promised that Zoomlion Ghana Limited will further deepen collaboration with the Prisons Service to enhance the nation's development and appreciated the invaluable services rendered to the inmates in their custody.
“As the waste management giants in Ghana and Africa at large whose mission is “Improving People’s Lives and their Environment”, I wish to say, we shall continue in our collaboration to ensure that the lives of inmates are improved through our collaborated programs”, he noted.
To that effect, he announced that the Jospong Group of Companies from next year would be embarking on large-scale rice production, which he believes will help feed many Ghanaians including inmates, stressing “We believe that as a company, we can collaborate more to making this a reality”.
He also used the occasion to encourage the Prisons Regional Commanders to continue serving Mother Ghana with integrity.
The Zoomlion delegation was led by Alhaji Abdulai Abdallah, Assistant Manager-Operations who represented the Managing Director of ZL Mrs. Gloria Opoku Anti, Mr. Daniel Ohene Obeng Assistant Manager, Communications and Corporate Affairs, Mr. Isaac Ashiley, Assistant Operations Officer (Prisons Project Cordinator) and Mr. Edmond Otu Yeboah, Assistant Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer-Audiovisual.
