Several students on Monday, April 17, 2023 around 8am were caught trapped in an STC Bus after an accident at Gomoa Buduatta on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway.

The STC Bus with registration number GB 1079-20 carrying students to Cape Coast, somersaulted after crushing a Tipper Truck with registration number GN 7832-22 from Winneba heading towards Kasoa.

Both cars after the accident got lying on the side of the road.

A lot of individuals after the occurrence rushed around to rescue victims from both cars as students onboard to the STC got stacked for several minutes before been transported to hospital for medical care.

Six (6) out of the total number of thirty-nine (39) casualties to have sustained serious injuries were sent to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital and the Effutu Municipal Hospital to receive medical treatment.

The front and rear windscreen of the STC got totally damaged whiles the tipper truck had its windscreen (front) and side doors partially damaged.

Cause of the accident is still yet to be revealed.
