Chief of Kwadoegya who doubles as Omankrado for Kwamankese Traditional Area in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) district in the Central Region, Nana Ogyampaful Abeka IX has called on his rivals to let peace have its way to attract development to the community.
He told Sompa TV/FM reporter Eric Annan in a held press conference following a Cape Coast High Court ruling which saw his paramountcy adjudged the legitimate owners of Kwadoegya's stool lands.
A legal tussle that has stood for over 40-years now with one Gloria Aba Cudjoe being the plaintiff.
According to the chief, any community which lacks peace, automatically retrogress at the mercy of development having highlighted peace and development to naturally go hand in hand.
He remarked that Kwadoegya due to its long-standing chieftaincy uproar has for years been left underdeveloped.
Nana Ogyampaful Abeka IX appealed to all his subjects to mark the court ruling as a new beginning in the history of the ancient community, which to it accompanies developmental projects.
He recounted that it's only through peace the community can push for major developmental projects and as such strive to renovate its deplorable palace, as he assured of change in Kwadoegya's porous infrastructural development.
The chief further warned all and sundry to desist from referring to his community as Abura-Kwadoegya, as he recall the area's actual name to be Kwamankese-Kwadoegya.
He stressed that whoever is caught referring to the area's name as Abura-Kwadoegya will seriously be dealt with by law having added to it to be the one true gazetted chief of Kwadoegya.
