Bliss GVS Pharma Limited, a pharmaceutical company operating in Ghana, has donated anti-malaria medicines worth over Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (₵50,000.00) to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) as part of the company’s aim of fighting malaria in the country.
The donations were made up of Clamoxin 1200 Injection, Gacet 1GM 20*5 Suppository HP, Gsunate 30 Injection with Diluent, Lonart 20/120 Tab, Lonart Dispersible Tabs 20/120, Lonart Ds and Lonart Forte. They were presented by Mr. Kwaku Boateng, Medical Representative of the company.
Mr. Boateng stated that, “the exercise formed part of corporate social responsibility activities of the company, which was to help fight the scourge of malaria in Ghana”.
He emphasized that the donation was not the first one to be done at the hospital but was an annual one to mark “World Malaria” day.
Mr. Boateng expressed the gratitude of the company to the hospital for being allowed to partner it in its efforts at delivering quality medical care to the people in Kumasi and beyond.
Pharm. Kwaku Sarfo, Director of Pharmacy of KATH, conveyed the appreciation of the hospital to the company for the kind gesture and assured them the medicines would put to good use. He mentioned that the availability of adequate medicines within the facility is one of the key mandates of Management.
“The hospital will therefore, continue to collaborate with your company to ensure improved pharmaceutical care at the hospital”, he affirmed.
