A committee has been constituted to look into the collapse of a church building at Old Bortianor on Tuesday, where seven individuals believed to be working on an extension project of the three-story building suffered various degrees of injury.
According to the Municipal Director of NADMO, Christian Azedenyo, some of the injured persons have been released from the hospital after the incident.
He indicated that the Committee set up will look into the matter to find out the reasons that led to the collapse of the building.
According to eyewitness accounts, seven persons who were working on an extension project of the auditorium heard an unusual noise,but the building collapsed just when they attempted to escape.
All the victims were initially rushed to the Bortianor polyclinic and one of them who was critically injured was later transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
