The High Court in Accra has ordered the Registrar of the Law Court Complex to take custody of the vehicle at the center of the dispute in the case in which Deborah Seyram Adablah sued a banker, Ernest Nimako, for failing to fulfil certain agreements between the two.
The former National Service personnel of the First Atlantic Bank per her suit is claiming among other things a vehicle with registration No. GC 7899- 21 was given to her by Deacon Nimako, the first defendant in the case.
In court on Tuesday, May 16, the Court presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu while ruling on an application filed by Deacon Nimako said the vehicle in dispute should be surrounded to the Registrar of the High Court for preservation until the final determination of the case.
To this end, the court also ordered Deacon Nimako, the Defendant to submit all documents in relation to the said vehicle to the Registrar.
Deborah Adablah who is the plaintiff early this year filed a writ alleging sexual harassment against Ernest Kwesi Nimako, Director of Finance and the bank.
According to Deborah, she began seeing her sugar daddy when she was performing her national service.
Per their ‘contract’, he provided her with a car, rented an apartment for her at Labadi and offered her ₵3,000 monthly income.
However, along the line, he could not sustain the ‘contract’ and this has compelled her to use the court to fight for her right.
She claimed that he used the assurance that he would secure funding for her to launch a business to persuade her not to accept an employment offer when her national service was completed.
Adablah also claimed that Deacon Nimako registered the said vehicle he bought for her in his name which is contrary to their agreement and took back the Honda Civic.
