A passenger died on the spot whiles other 22 sustained various degrees of fatal injuries after a Sprinter Benz bus they were on board bursted tyre at Gomoa Anteadze in the Gomoa West District in the Central Region.

Accident occured on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in the afternoon.

David Osanyomo, an Articulator Driver  told Sompa TV/FM's Eric Annan to be repairing his faulty car at the shoulder of the road where he witnessed the Sprinter Benz bus carry out a wrongful overtaking which led to the accident.

He indicated that at verge of the overtaking, the Sprinter driver burst two of its back tyres which nearly resulted to the car smashing his truck but somersaulted to swerve to land into a ditch.

Injured casualties have been sent to the Mankesim Government Hospital and the Apam St. Luke's Catholic Hospital respectively for treatment.
