A gory car accident occurred at Gomoa Okyereko in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region reveals to have claimed fifteen (16) lives as forty (40) others battle for their lives upon rescued to the hospital.
The accident involves a Fuel Tanker with registration number WR 2063-10 from the Accra stretch of the road have a head-on collision with a Yutong Bus with registration number GT 5866-L emerging from the opposite direction.
Incident is believed to have occured this dawn around 4am.
Cause of the accident is yet to be established as the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ambulance, and the Ghana Police Services work assiduously to assist in saving individuals rescued.
The Winneba Municipal Fire Commander, DO2 Quessie Hughes on the fatality of the accident revealed some victims to have their heads chopped off in the process with forty (40) others who survived the accident been sent to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital and the Winneba Municipal Hospital respectively where an intensive medical care is offered them.
Meanwhile, the bodies of deceased ones have been deposited at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital morgue for preservation.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Sompa News Eric Annan uncovered driver of the Fuel Tanker to be sleeping hence veered off his lane to collide with the Yutong Bus.
