Founder and leader of the Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare has been given a 14-day ultimatum by the traditional leaders of Nogokpo to appear before them following his comments that Nogokpo is a demonic headquarters.
The comments by the founder of the Perez Chapel caused a lot of stir on social media, and among the general public but during his sermon on May 28, 2023, the head pastor clarified the statements he made earlier and said he did not intend to damage the reputation of the town and its people, adding that his wife hails from Volta Region, and described the reportage as unfortunate.
However, in a press conference on Friday, June 2, 2023, the Nogokpo traditional leaders indicated that they feel that Bishop Agyin Asare’s posture in his second sermon did not show that he has regretted and due to that asked him to appear before them for a resolution.
“We the chiefs and the people of Nogokpo in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region give a 14-day ultimatum to Archbishop Agin Asare, the founder of the Perez Dome International to meet us in person for peace talks about his statement he made that Nogokpo is the demonic headquarters of the Volta Region.
“Having listened to the second trending statement he made on Sunday, 28th of May, 2023, he did not show any remorse of any regretfulness, an indication that he deliberately decided to tarnish the good reputation of the people of Nogokpo.”
They added that the 14-day ultimatum is for him to do the needful and if he rejects, they will be forced to advise themselves.
