Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast North Constituency in the Central Region, Barbara Asher Ayisi has described herself to be a lover of sanitation related activities as she is known to be by close relatives.
According to her, anyone that has encountered her knows of her sanitation trait and as one who never downplay communal labour.
The former MP made this statement following a mandatory clean-up exercise suctioned by the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly to have the principle streets of Cape Coast and its environs cleaned up by residents on Saturday, June 3, 2023.
She recall the importance of first impression to tourists who visit Cape Coast as a tourism hub in the country to remark the need for regular sanitation exercises within the metropolis.
The well-adhered-to exercise saw commercial drivers within the metropolis park their cars from 6am to 11am to offer help in the awe-inspiring exercise for a hygienic and conducive environment for all to live in.
Hon. Moses Arthur (Jah Rule), Assemblyman for the Abura Electoral Area in an interview to Sompa News Eric Annan disclosed to have injected lot of resources to have his area cleaned up during the exercise.
He again advised fellow Assemblymen not to wait on government before administrating help to their people but should on their own, work round the clock to facilitate development within their respective electoral areas.
Kinsley Atta Boakye, Founder of Abiking Care for Humanity Foundation who during the clean-up exercise fed individuals including Fire Service personnel that helped in tidying the metropolis, revealed his benevolent act of touching lives of the less-privileged particular within the Cape Coast North Constituency not to be fueled by any political ambitions.
