Staff and management of the Obuasi Municipal Assembly on Tuesday, 6th June, 2023 bid farewell to the outgoing Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Francis Dwira Darko who has served the Assembly since May, 2016.

Mr. Darko has been transferred to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly as the substantive Coordinating Director.

At a short ceremony to handover office to the new Coordinating Director Stephen Tecku, Mr. Dwira Darko thanked the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Elijah Adansi-Bonah and Staff for their unflinching support throughout his tenure of office.

He asked them to extend the same support and cooperation to the incoming MCD.

Hon. Elijah Adansi-Bonah also lauded the outgoing Municipal Coordinating Director for his hard work and dedication to duty.

He seized the opportunity to wish him well in his new station.

On his part the new Coordinating Director, Stephen Tecku who until his transfer to Obuasi, was the Coordinating Director of the Asante Akim South District, appealed to Staff to come together to work for the development of Obuasi.

He said "there are jobs to do, there are victories to be won, let's all come together to develop Obuasi, let's put our shoulders to the wheel to work hard to promote and develop the Obuasi Municipality".

Mr. Tecku served as the Municipal Engineer for Obuasi from 2016 to 2022.
