Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was honoured last friday at the SDG awards as one of the Most Infuential Sustainable Development Goal Leaders in Africa at the Think Energy awards. Held at the Labadi Beach Hotel, the event was organised by Agree Limited.
The award according to the organisers was in recognition of the Minister's "extraordinary efforts, exemplary leadership and outstanding achievements in championing sustainable energy practices and driving positive change in Africa"
The statement continued " Your visionary approach and transformative actions have not only revolutionised the energy sector but have also inspired countless individuals and organisations to actively contribute towards sustainable development in Africa"
Receiving the award on behalf of the Minister, Deputy Energy Minister, Hon. Herbert Krapah said Ghana's Energy Transition Framework provides a clear blue-print for Ghana's transition to net zero.
Deputy Director, Nuclear and Alternative Energy for the Ministry of Energy, Dr. Bright Sobadji was also named Energy Personality of the year at the awards.
