Nana Obura Asankuma Ansah III, Chief of Ankaful in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency in the Central Region has shared worries over recent comment passed by Dormaahene, Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II to have the country's supreme court discontinue its trial on Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, the Member of Parliament for Assin North in his dual citizenship case.
According to Nana Asankuma, the Dormaahene who doubles as a high court judge knows better on law related issues, hence shouldn't have plied that tangent with his statement which he feels disappointed of.
He elaborated to say that the Dormaahene's comment, contextually isn't a bad one but the place at which it was uttered makes it worrisome.
Osagyefo Agyemang Badu on his labeled statement made that over the weekend at late president, John Evans Atta Mills 10th Anniversary Commemorative lecture in Sunyani.
The Chief of Ankaful stated that Osagyefo Agyemang Badu's comment made has brought the image of Ghana's court into disrepute.
He recounted, the Dormaahene should have had a personal discussion with the Assin North MP before jumping to the podium to utter what he described to have caused chiefs in the country disappointed.
The outspoken Chief appealed to the Attorney General's Department and Ministry of Justice to come clear in resolving the issue which has caused many talking to it.
He again advised chiefs not to forget their status in the country to be extra cautious of their utterances on political matters like that of the Assin North MP's court case.
