The Director General of Prisons has paid a courtesy call to the chief of Ejura Sekyeredumasi, Nana Antwi Boasiako II as part of his visit to Ejura in the Ashanti Region.
The visit was aimed at finishing modalities for the establishment of a modern Prison facility in the township.
The Director General and his entourage visited the Chief's Palace and presented an architectural design for a proposed Prison Officers Training School and officers accommodation.
At Amanfrom, Mr. Isaac Kofi Egyir commissioned an expansion project in the Amanfrom camp prison comprising a chapel and a modernalised gate lodge.
The Director General was accompanied by the Director of Prisons (DOP) in charge of Technical, Dr. Francis Omane-Addo, Director of Prisons (DOP) in Charge of Agriculture, Mr. Hanson Adu-Awuku, Chief Legal Officer, DDP. Paul Teye-Ademan and the chief Agric officer DDP. Augustine Ohene-Tutu and other senior officers.
