Former Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Madam Catherine Ablema Afeku and ace Ghanaian Hip-life rapper, Okyeame Kwame have been enstooled as traditional leaders at Moree in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency in the Central Region.
Born Kwame Nsiah-Apau, the multiple award winning artiste who doubles as an entrepreneur, songwriter and a made-in-Ghana activist having hailed from the Ashanti Region has been enstooled as 'Adwumapahene' for Moree.
Madam Catherine Afeku who once served as Member of Parliament for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency in the Western Region has equally been enstooled as 'Sompahemaa' for the fishing community.
Enstoolment of these personalities were performed on Saturday at the community's 2023 Abangye Festival grand durbar, celebrated on the theme "War Against Indiscipline: The Role Of The Citizenry."
The enstooled parties following their chieftaincy honour are expected to aid in the development of Moree with their clout in the tourism and creative art industries.
Okyeame Kwame in a media interaction assured to play a vital role aimed at ensuring that beaches of the community are clean and hygienic enough through educate, advocacy and law enforcement as he appealed with the Tourism Ministry to assist musicians sell the country's culture through their craft.
Madam Catherine Afeku in her remarks promised to apply her knowledge acquired in the tourism sector for the development of Moree having assured citizenry of the community to connect both Egypt and Malta to Moree upon finding out these countries shares disparity with the fishing community.
