The Paramount Chief of Nkusukum Traditional Area in the Central Region, Nana Okese Esandor IX has called for a halt on all litigation matters for peace to be restored to the area which has wasted twenty-one (21) years of its chieftaincy reign on legal tussles.
According to him, Nkusukum which once appeared pacesetters talk of chieftaincy prowess in the region now wambles behind others as a result of chieftaincy disputes.
He said this at a ceremonial rite performed to feed his stool gods dubbed 'Egwadoto,' which due to periodic chieftaincy uproars at the area has been left unpractised in the last thirteen (13) years.
Nana Okese in his address bemoaned that though the traditional area's encountered disputes has hindered its development, the paramountcy is ever prepared to face the task ahead.
He disclosed to have let go every pain he over twelve years suffered from rivals in their chieftaincy tussle over who ascend the throne he currently occupies and entreated all to follow suit for peace to be restored to the traditional area to harness development.
Hon. Ike Lord Ennu, the Municipal Chief Executive for Mfantseman Constituency having graced the occasion pleaded with chiefs of Nkusukum to see to it that the little money left on them won't be used in feeding any lawyer over litigation matters.
He remarked that such monies should rather be channeled towards the development and wellbeing of their communities which have been left impoverished amid its rich history and culture.
