Senior Editorial Supervisor for Agroriches Media, an agriculturally inclined media firm and a subsidiary of the Tiast Group, Prince Opoku Dogbey has entreated journalists in the country to switch attention to project happenings related to Ghana's agricultural sector which emerge as the state's economical backbone.
Speaking to the media after a market forum organized as part of the ongoing Central Expo, Tourism and Investment Fair in Cape Coast, he urged the press to tone down its numerous coverage on political issues which mostly flood the country's newspapers and television screens.
He recounted that though it seems prudent for one to know the current happenings in the country through political news, it's time the press give keen attention in their coverage to agro-related issues as front pages of newspapers in the nation are often occupied with politics.
According to him, should the media focus much of its reportage on agro issues will have Ghana never go hungry.
Peter Baidoo, the Marketing Manager for Tiast Group-West Africa in an interview with Sompa News eulogized that the company which specializes in agriculture, health and information technology is in Ghana purposely to help add value to the country's agro-business.
