The Kasoa District Police Command has arrested a man in his 30s for viciously attacking two persons with a hammer following an ensued argument, with one of the victims hospitalised at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.
Edmond Ampomah, the victim who is currently on admission at the hospital having nearly lost his life, collapsed after his head got strike with a hammer by suspect, Kwabena Brenya a commercial driver.
Narrating the circumstance, the victim told Sompa News Eric Annan that an argument broke out between the wife of his senior brother and the suspect who happen to be co-tenants at Otacity, a suburb of Akweley in Kasoa.
The victim was elected by some family members to attend to the situation and have it addressed where temper of the suspect flared up and attacked the victims who were caught unaware with a hammer, leaving one unconscious.
A scan conducted on the victim by experts identified a fracture in his skull with the victim showing neurological symptoms.
Suspect following his labeled action was on Thursday, August 31 put before the Ofankor Magistrate Court but had his case adjourn to Monday, September 4, 2023, as he has since been with the police assisting in investigations.
