The Presidency has refuted claims of unfair treatment towards security personnel stationed at the Jubilee House, dispelling rumours that they had abandoned their posts.
In a statement released by the Presidency and authored by Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications, dated September 3, the reports were dismissed as baseless and misleading.
Eugene Arhin clarified that there is no factual basis for the assertion that 77 security personnel left Jubilee House for their respective units due to alleged unfair treatment. He urged the public to dismiss these unfounded claims and not take them seriously.
He stated, "The Office of the President would like to put on record that at no point in the tenure of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, from 2017 till date, have seventy-seven security personnel left Jubilee House to their respective units. Indeed, no security officer has left Jubilee House because of 'unfair treatment' meted out to them at the seat of the presidency. Curiously, at no point in Mr. Owusu's submissions did he provide any evidence whatsoever to buttress these false claims."
Furthermore, the statement emphasized that any security officer who has departed from Jubilee House has done so either due to disciplinary reasons or through their voluntary decision.
The Presidency urged the public to disregard the baseless allegations and treat them with the contempt they deserve.
