The University Student Association of Ghana has accused its president, Dr. Christian Ntiful Anderson for allegedly mismanagement of funds for the association.
In a release on 8th September, 2023, according to article 33, clause 2(d) that "the financial controller reports to the Executive Officers, NEC, Senate and Congress the state of the finances of USAG at every meeting" but this provision was breached by the president.
However at a meeting in the presence of the IDRS( International and Diaspora Relations) secretary, Press and Information secretary, General Secretary, Treasurer and Coordinating Secretary, the Financial Controller indicated that President is the only privy to all information about the finances of the association" part of the statement reads.
Also Dr. Christian Ntiful Anderson is allege to have been involved in financial improprieties, including the unlawful collection of funds, unauthorised disbursement of the funds, boarding of association funds and absconding with these funds.
Again, "the president is accused for unlawfully instructed his sister ( relative who is not an executive member) to collect dues and capitation paid by member institution at congress grounds. This is a breach of article 33, clause 2(a). The flippant disregard for the USAG Constitution by the President is extremely alarming", part of the statement says.
