Residents at Drobe, a community in the Sene West District has donated a generator to Drobe Health Center to address challenges associated with power outage.
In an interview with the media, Former Assembly Member for Drobe Electoral Area, Mr Bismark Kofi Gyan Manu presenting the machine to the facility highlighted on the rationale behind the donation.
Mr Gyan Manu explained most of the drugs that were to be kept in the refrigerator got spoilt as a result of persistent blackout in the area.
He explained the move is to assist the facility to work efficiently even during blackouts.
The In-Charge at the Health Center, Richard Yeboah expressed their gratitude to the community for the kind gesture, saying they would put it into good use.
Mr. Yeboah further indicated that the generator will address the lighting challenges they are facing.
The Director of Health Services at Sene West District, Mr Alex Kumah applauded the residents and pledged the generator will be used for its intended purpose.
The facility was adjudged the best performing Community Health Planning and Services (CHPS) in Bono East Region for 2022.
