Six new Envoys presented their letters of credence to the President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at a ceremony which was held at the Jubilee House in Accra on Tuesday 17th October, 2023.
The six Envoys are the Ambassador of the Republic of Burkina Faso, H.E. David Kabre, the Ambassador of the Republic of Peru, H.E. Mrs. Rose Liliana Gómez Cárdenas de Weston, the High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia, H.E. Mr. Daniel Mahongo, the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, H.E. Mr. Julio Amaury Justo Duarte, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Kittisak Klomchit, and the High Commissioner of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, H.E. Mr. Andrew Wilson.
During the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo congratulated the new Envoys on their appointment and indicated the Government of Ghana’s preparedness to support them in the discharge of their duties during their tour of duty. He added that the Government of Ghana is ready to engage and explore new areas of cooperation with their respective Governments to further enhance the already existing relations.
On their part, the new Envoys assured the President, of their commitment to further deepen relations with Ghana in areas of mutual interest.
