A two-year-old boy by the kind help of a hunter has graciously escaped death after attempt launched on him to be used for an alleged money ritual at Senya Bereku in the Awutu Senya West District in the Central Region.

The courageous hunter narrating his ordeal to Sompa News Eric Annan said, he was returning from late night hunting around 1:00am where he heard the cry of a baby emanate from the bush. Hence got carried to approach the scene and see things for himself.

To his surprise, upon reaching the scene, witnessed a man who was about sacrificing the baby boy for only God knows what.

The suspect according to the hunter upon seeing him, took up to his heels and bolted for his dear life, leaving the innocent boy unharmed.

He then reported the incident to the police where a team of abled policemen where dispatched to
to subsequently had the boy rescued.

The boy in the process of been rescued from the place he was trapped and made prepared for the ritual sacrifice, was a suspected poisonous substance in a green bottle beside him, coupled with a ritual food which had three cooked eggs on it in an earthenware bowl (Ayiwa).

Suspect behind the atrocious deed per information currently available, is yet to be apprehended by the police, as thorough investigation into the matter has been launched.
