Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills has reaffirmed his commitment to enhance the educational standards within his Municipality through actionable works.
Recognizing the decline in educational quality in KEEA, the MP's office has closely collaborated with the constituency's Education Directorate to tackle pertinent issues affecting education in the area.
A significant step towards the worrying situation was taken after the office of the Member of Parliament generously donated a multifunctional photocopy machine, a laptop computer, and an air-conditioner to the KEEA Education Directorate in response to a request.
Hon. Samuel Atta-Mills in remaining dedicated to prioritizing education having come into terms, its pivotal role in socio-economic development regardless of geographical boundaries, has unequivocally outlaid his stance to actualize his committment towards education in the area.
Francis Obeng, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) KEEA Treasurer who on behalf of the MP delivered the donated items, emphasised the MP's passion and will to enhance the constituency's education performance, thus the need to ensure his investments motivate and yield positive outcomes.
Public Relations Officer for the KEEA Education Directorate, Mr. Aka Ewie commended the Honourable Member for his prompt action in addressing educational needs within the Municipality, which includes providing desks, mathematical sets, exercise books, renovating classrooms and the Education Director's residence, extending financial support to deserving but underprivileged students, covering utility expenses among other contributions.
Madam Mercy Akua Lissar, the KEEA Education Director equally expressed gratitude over the MP's unwavering support but pledged full cooperation in efforts to elevate educational standards in the Municipality, as she further appealed for assistance from the MP in conducting mock examinations for final-year students in the municipality.
