The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Central Regional Chairman, Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu has described the Central Region to be in high demand for NDC's flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama comparative to how much the party generally needs the former President.
He explained that judging from the sorry state the Central Region presently finds itself, yells for a redeemer in no one other than John Dramani Mahama.
Prof. Kofi Asiedu made this statement when responding to the party's preparedness in welcoming the flagbearer into the Central Region following his “Building the Ghana We Want” tour.
This was after a close door Regional Executive Meeting held in Cape Coast with NDC hierarchy members like Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, the party's General Secretary, Peter Boamah Otokunor, the Deputy General Secretary, Lawyer Abraham Amaliba who is a member of the NDC Legal and Communication Team as well as Prof. William Ahadze, the NDC's Director of Research.
The NDC Central Regional Chairman in an interaction with the media, affirmed the party's Regional Executive's readiness to host the former President, having designed a well-thought-out itinerary to make the flagbearer's tour in the region a success.
According to him, John Mahama is expected to have a two-day tour in the Central Region upon touring places like the Bono Region, Ahafo, Bono East, Western North, and the Western Regions.
John Dramani Mahama's tour to the Central Region as communicated is scheduled to come off on Friday, December 22 and Saturday, December 23, 2023, which will be climax with a mammoth rally at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East.
