Omanhene of Atti-Morkwa Traditional Area in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency in the Central Region, Oseadeeyo Kwesi Kennin IV has beseeched former President, John Dramani Mahama to aid in the scraping of the winner-takes-all policy witnessed over the years under previous Ghanaian governments when elected President of Ghana.
According to the Omanhene, his traditional area since 1992 has gunnered massive support behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) with resounding votes, thus plead on the flagbearer to place key priority on his plea.
Oseadeeyo Kwesi Kennin further appealed on John Dramani Mahama to see to it that the fear and respect once accorded chiefs in the country is restored.
He recounted to be a native Ghanaian saying that "he who prefers, adhere to the sermon of a chief" which he finds unpleasant, hence implored Mahama to have that abnormally resolved when voted yet again as President of the country.
The Atti-Morkwa Omanhene said all this after the former President paid a courtesy visit to his palace following his “Building the Ghana We Want” tour in the Central Region.
John Mahama addressing the Omanhene and his sub-chiefs, attested to the fact that Twifo Atti-Morkwa has remained a loyal constituency to the NDC regarding its vote pattern.
He later assured the Atti-Morkwa Omanhene to have taken keynote of all his plea leveled before him and will adequately attend to them as requested.
