Over 500 angry youths of Gomoa Dominase in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region have attacked nurses of the Gomoa Potsin Polyclinic together with police officers and have destroyed properties of the hospital over the death of 35-year-old Attoh.

According to information gathered, the deceased was rushed to the hospital last night over medical complication and was put under oxygen but was unfortunately pronounced dead around 5am today January 4, 2023.

Kojo Poku, an eyewitness to the incident speaking in an interview with Sompa News Eric Annan recounted that the angry youths of the aforementioned community numbering over 500, stormed the medical facility and started beating nurses on duty, accusing them of killing their brother.

According to him, these irate youths without any provocation started vandalizing the hospital's computers, glass windows and other properties.

To this end, police officers who were deployed from Potsin to calm the situation down per narration given by the eyewitness were equally attacked, as the angry youths succeeded in taking away the lifeless body of the deceased.

The Gomoa Dominase Police Command has since made one arrest and is on manhunt for the rest of the perpetrators.
