21-year-old Kweku Fafada, a Pragyia Ridder currently lies in critical condition after Kofi Abomi, a mentally challenged person inflicted cutlass wounds on him upon his attempt to separate a fight between the suspect and a colleague mentally ill individual at Ajumako in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency in the Central Region.

Information indicates that the victim was trying to separate a fight between Kwame Anin and Kofi Abomi, both mentally derailed persons when the unfortunate incident took place. 

The victim having successfully played the role of a peacemaker in separating both individuals during their fracas, got Kofi Abomi peeved who went and pulled out a sharp cutlass and hacked the head of Fafada.

Severity of the cutlass attack on the Pragyia Ridder, got him proceed unconscious and was rushed to the hospital.

According to eyewitnesses account, the victim is a brother to Kwame Anin, one of the mentally ill person who was being beaten by his opponent Abomi, so his decision to separate the fight which led to his butchering.

They accused the suspect of beating women he meets on the streets, touching their buttocks and breasts in public and sometimes rapes them at night.

The suspect following his atrocious deed, was beaten by enraged residents of the area and was later sent to the Ajumako District Police Command but was freed to go home.

Residents say though the suspect’s conduct has repeatedly been reported to the Police, no action has yet been taken against him.
